Homeschooling

               ---- What we use. (4/5/2014)

               Once my husband and I agreed that our kids needed to be homeschooled, trying to find a good Christian-based curriculum fell into the "Momma's Jobs" category. Which I gladly accepted because I will be the one doing the teaching and training while Daddy earns the bacon. I wanted a boxed curriculum that would be acceptable in Arkansas as set by the standards and that would give them a biblical background and foundation.
               I posted on Facebook asking for any advice or direction and I hit the jackpot! My neighbor posted that she used ACE Paces to homeschool her kiddos. After talking to her for hours and spending many more hours of research and praying, I decided with God's guidance that ACE was the route we would take.

             
             
           


         

             ACE is Accelerated Christian Education. It is a homeschool curriculum designed and handled by Lighthouse Christian Academy. Each subject is broke down in to 12 Paces. A Pace is a workbook that specifically covers each chapter of that subject. A biblical characteristic is showcased in each Pace, and on the first page is a Scripture that the kids are taught throughout the chapter, by the end of each pace they have a new scripture memorized! Science, English, Math, and Social Studies are all built on a Biblical foundation.

              We love this curriculum. My 8 year old, Lilly, said "This is fun. It makes me want to learn!!"
